On Tuesday, August 11th, Connecticut’s Primary Day, New Haven Rising, Local 34, and our allies engaged voters at every New Haven polling location on an issue affecting everyone; Yale’s Tax Break. 

At the polls, we revealed the latest estimate of Yale’s tax break is now $157,722,490.96, up from $146 million last year.

As Yale expands and the value of their land increases, a rising mill rate increases the tax break even further thus creating a greater burden on every resident of the city.
